Works can be licensed to an organization or to an individual.
- if a work is licensed to an organization, then any individual or group associated with that organization is licensed to use the work, as long as the number of copies being used at any time does not exceed what has been purchased.
- If a work is licensed to an individual, then that individual or a group of individuals under her direction may use the work, as long as the number of copies being used at any time does not exceed what has been purchased.
When determining whether to license the work to the you, the individual, or to an organization, consider if you are purchasing the work for use wherever you go, or purchasing the work for an organization, even if you eventually leave the organization.
In the shopping cart, you can choose to license the work to you, the individual, before you log in. However, to choose an organization as the benefit of the license, you must first log in and, if necessary, place one or more organizations into the My Organizations list.
