Helping the Louisiana
Philharmonic Orchestra
Even though the levee breaks of
Hurricane Katrina destroyed her home and many of her
musicians' instruments, the LPO remains intact and plans a
full season of performances this year under a new music
director, Carlos Miguel Prieto.
But the LPO still needs a lot of help in its continued
efforts to survive this national tragedy.
To support the LPO in this time of need, all performance
royalties of the LPO's official fanfare, Fanfare for
New Orleans, will be donated to the LPO Relief Fund.
Fanfare for New Orleans was written by New Orleans native
Henry Flurry and is published by Nathana Music, LLC.
On this site, you will can listen to the fanfare and obtain
the score and parts (available for both large and small
orchestras) free of charge. If an orchestra performs this
short work and properly reports the performance to ASCAP,
ASCAP will pay royalties that will be deposited into the
LPO's Relief Fund.
